I have been using and promoting WordPress to all of my clients for the last few years and one of the main reasons I tell them that I love it is because, Google loves WordPress.

When you create a website, one of the main focuses you should have is site exposure. You want people to find your website very easily, and the best way to find it is on the first page of a Google Search. There are a couple of different areas on a Google Search Page, but for our example we’re talking about the Organic section, which is right below the Paid section which is in yellow at the top of the page. The Organic section pulls website results from a Google Search by an algorithm that looks at many factors. One main factor is how your website is actually setup to begin with. I, or to put it a better way, the site’s architecture. So, the goal of any web designer is to make the client’s website easy to find. A lot of talk goes into the mastery of SEO and SERP which is the art of getting your page listed on the first page of a Google search. But, one of the main things that helps just by using a WordPress website is that you already have a leg up on the competition. WordPress itself gives you an infrastructure that Google (Bing and Yahoo also) love to index and search.
Here is an article that helps to explain how just by using a WordPress site, you’re already ahead of the game.

35 Reasons Why a WordPress Website is Better than a Traditional Website for Your Business by Marty Dickenson

I also tell my clients that WordPress has become the most used website building architecture and is far better (easier to use) than other CMS systems like Joomla and Drupal (sorry, it’s true).
And now there is data to back all of that up the increased use and popularity. Thanx to Elegant Themes for posting this great infographic.
